I'm posting from my Ubuntu machine right now(the extra computer that temporarily hosted my windows installation). I ended up buying both a power supply and a new motherboard for my main computer. I didn't feel like trying to figure out which had died and besides they were kind of incompatible with he new stuff.) I decided to do a fresh XP install on my main computer and for some godforsaken reason i chose the regular NTFS format(instead of quick), which takes forever. The Vista installation was never quite up to what I wanted it to be so i decided to go with a fresh XP install in the end. Using Ubuntu makes me remember how fun it is, especially with beryl and the mystical rotating cube. I guess I'll keep this installation since it's so stable and works so great(sorry Brandon! :) I think I'd use that quite a bit in Windows, since i like to set up a whole screen with different apps layed out just so and be able to rotate to whichever screen I wanted. I basically achieve close to the same using two monitors, but I could use one more screen. Maybe that just means I need one more monitor... ;) This looks about right.

Anyway, not much going on. I'm drinking a couple of Jason's (microknot's) beers, which are hella tasty, before I move on to the keg beer. I'm gonna hang out with my friend Kevin's mom(well, she's my friend too) Jane tomorrow in Sausalito. God damn this keyboard is dusty as hell. Yep, trying to burn some time while this damn XP install still formats, lol. What else, what else? GAIM kinda sucks, because you can't see your connection status on the window, like you can with trillian. Still, it's better than any other messenger besides Trillian. Oh i finished week one of Couch to 10k. My knees, oh man my knees. I'm so fat. The Chantix regime is going ok so far. Started having the crazy dreams, but I expected that after last time. bah, i got nothin'.

Check out Pidgin - it's the new and totally overhauled GAIM. I installed it last week, and I am really happy with it.

Ubuntu never worked out for me, unfortunately. What do you think of PCLOS? I've put that on one of my machines and been working well so far.

Oh, heh, it's based off Mandriva, which is one of my favorite distros!

Lager is almost ready to put back in the fridge and start drinking.

I am down to 5 12 ounce IPA's and one 22 ouncer. 5 gallons goes pretty quickly.

My next IPA batch should be ready to bottle in a week or so.

See, you're doing it the right way. Keep brewing continuously instead of here and there. That way you always have fresh beer to drink.
