We saw Indiana Jones and Prince Caspian(Starring Alex as Trumpkin the dwarf) this weekend. I liked both of them. I agree that there was no need for the extra conflict between Peter and Caspian, but other than that it was cool. Some people were complaining that the Indy movie was formulaic, but duh! The whole series is, that's part of its awesomeness. Also, looks like Voyage of the Dawn Treader starts filming this year, I'm so glad they're continuing the series. It may not follow exactly to form, but who cares? This was my favorite series as a young kid and it's really neat to see it brought to life(not like that Stupid BBC series in the 80s).

Speaking of, The Hobbit movies aren't supposed to come out 'til 2011 & 2012? I can't wait that long!

DVDs watched recently:
Sweeny Todd: Awesome!
Elizabeth, the Golden Age: Pretty good, equal to its prequel
Atonement: Good, but long and dreary and ultimately depressing
The Queen: All the Diana reminiscing made me cry, Helen Mirren was great. You never think of the Queen as driving a Range Rover, so that was cool.
The Aviator: Not bad, not great
Caligula: Mwahahahaha!
Superbad: ROFLMAOPMP
Michael Clayton: Really compelling, but the overall tone had me depressed the whole time
American Gangster: Not bad, not great
The Battle of Algiers: Really interesting as a fan of Camus(and history) to understand what was going on at that time
The whole 7 Up series: Pretty neat! Man, those English have bad teeth. There is too much repetition when you watch them all together, but you have to accept it because they came out 7 years apart, there has to be repetition.

Yeah I really liked him too. I also really liked the guy from out on the farm that ended up being a physics professor in the states.

The Queen? How gay are you? I loved that movie, and Helen Mirren is fantastic in all ways. I also thought James Cromwell was excellent.

In Prince Caspian, how was Reepicheep? Was he right, or did they go for the overly cute talking mouse? I have fears that he ends up like Puss In Boots from Shrek.

Personally, I'd say your fears are warranted. Puss In Boots from Shrek was exactly what he reminded me of.

I didn't think he was that bad. He wasn't perfect, meaning he wasn't dead serious and he was a little cutesy, but not completely untrue to the character.
