Man this weekend flew by too quickly. Friday we saw The Incredible Hulk, which was really good. Saturday we spent the whole day at the beach and I got a little burned, but not bad. Yesterday we got cheesesteaks and hung out at the pub then our house with some friends. I have a ton of stuff I have been neglecting at home and work and I really need to get on the ball but I seem to be having motivation problems. I did order all my reading material and sent off my registration for my first term at SSU this fall. I'm really looking forward to that. The last time I went to school full time, I was working more than full time and I still found time to do tons of stuff. It has always seemed like the busier I was, the more I accomplished. I know that sounds duh, but I don't mean it in a one to one relation, I mean that for each additional item on my plate I accomplished three times as much stuff. If nothing else, this program will force feed me a ton of material that I've never even touched, like this term we have books from both Jung and Freud, which I've never touched.

Fucking busy day at work today, too. And I'm hungry! Waahhh!

...I mean that for each additional item on my plate I accomplished three times as much stuff.

This is how I lived my life for the last few years. I think the key is to recognize that there's an endpoint and use it to help stave off burnout.

I found that I got tired a lot sooner than I did in my twenties, but that was balanced by the fact that I would recognize that and just go take a nap instead of pushing through, and I also worked a lot smarter than I did the first time around.

What are you taking?

It's a liberal arts degree completion program, so it's like one single 11 credit class with a bunch of reading and papers and junk.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to all the reading. Besides my GE classes all my lower level classes were math and science prereqs so I didn't get a lot of the literature and stuff that other programs would have.

I wasn't hugely impressed by Hulk - I never saw the Ang Lee version, but this one didn't really grab me. The boyfriend loved it though, so this may just be the natural result of never being much of a Hulk fan to begin with.

Yeah, some of the best parts were those that were salutes to the old show, although Edward Norton did a great David Banner.
