Yay, I got my ticket to Vegas next month for DEFCON. The conference is at the Riviera but they are sold out a couple of the days. I was looking at Circus Circus, since they're right across the street and pretty cheap. Anyone stay there before? Is it super skanky? The Sahara is also pretty cheap but it does look kind of skank. Not that I care too much, I don't plan on spending much time in my room anyway.

Camping this weekend was lots of fun. We tried our new chairs, which BROKE, stupid pos! We got to hang out with lots of friends, make new friends and enjoy the awesome weather. Spent lots of time on the beach, did some canoeing, swimming, drinking(duh) and, as usual, took all our meals in town or on the beach.

Wasn't that Circus Circus where you guys stayed when John and I came over and drank your beer?
That was pretty skanky. In the best ways! If you know what I mean.

Did you guys book a camp site like hella long ago? We've been trying to camp and it seems like you need to plan months in advance.

I saw a boxing kangaroo at the Circus Circus in Reno when I was a kid.

Just thought you should take that into consideration when planning.

Oh, I'm sorry your chairs broke. They BOTH broke? That's terrible.

Yeah, totally crappy! They have some better, but not as comfortable ones, but I wish I could find one that was just like our old one that finally died.

On our Hoover Dam tour we met some people staying at the Sahara. I asked if they liked it, and they replied "It's cheap." FWIW.

What kind of chairs? I bought my inlaws some chairs made my Coleman. They took them to Maine and we sat in them there, and I liked them so much I think I'm going to replace our shitty quad chairs from Target with them. I looked at REI for some, but they were all super low.

They were REI's Travel Chair Big Bubba. Shannon's came with a piece that holds the leg rest snapped and one of the metal tubes snapped on mine when I put some pressure on it to shift in my seat!

This is what our old one looked like, only ours was green. I can't find them anywhere!

Amazon has one by Stansport and another by Xscape Design. Not EXACTLY the same, but a quad chair for two with table between.

Or an "NFL Conversation" chair. Look in their camping furniture, if you haven't already.

Patrick says Circus Circus is dirty and noisy and skanky with a bunch of small children, but it is cheap, so if that's your main concern, he says you get what you pay for.

Ah thanks, I ended up getting a room at the Sahara, which is also cheap. ;)
