Lots of people on my FL have been scanning in old photos recently and I want to do the same. What kind of scanners do you guys have? I'd like to get an auto feed one since I can't imagine how tedious it would be to scan each picture, one at a time. But then again, I know flatbed scanners probably have better resolution. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I'm not gonna sit around for a month scanning & editing photos. Hell, uploading is a big enough pain in the ass.

Did you get the pre-paid box or are you doing them by the 1000? I need to check and see how many photos I have.

1000, though I think I have less than that. 1000 is a lot.

I thought of you when I found this webpage
I was going to post it in my LJ for you, but I see I'm not on your FL, so here it is. Save me a bottle. :)

Also, the main "brewer" from that story is wearing a 3rd Street Aleworks shirt. That's one of the breweries in our town! :)

You know you drink too much when you recognize a brewery by one letter's font. ;)

When I scanned a bunch of my mom's old photos for my LJ Scrapbook, I didn't do them one at a time. It was a bit tedious, but not horrible. I just put as many photos as would fit on the scanner and then cut and pasted and/or rotated the individual pictures from the scanned image.
