Ride Diary, Entry #2

It has been two days since my last ride.

Took a shorter and slower ride today. I had no route in mind, so I just followed the streets to Howarth Park. From there I was led onto a series of bike paths that literally cover the hills around Spring Lake, between Howarth Park and Annadel. There are paved trails and dirt trails. I think I have finally found the place to bring Shan to get her really enthusiastic about cycling without pushing her too hard.

Miles: 16.2
Time: 1:20

Miles to date: 41.2
Hours to date: 2:50

I was going to keep a running tab on average MPH, but that doesn't really seem like a good thing to do, considering rides like today's. I don't ever want to be riding slowly, relaxed and enjoying myself and think, "Hey! I need to keep my MPH up!" That would defeat one of the main purposes of cycling.

I never keep track of miles riden or MPH. That's for the health-nut weenies, as far as i'm concerned. What i do keep track of is how much i enjoyed a ride, and if it's worth doing again. Just ride.
