I would if I needed the screen space. With XP I'll probably do it eventually. If you have two many IE windows open at the same time it collapses them all anyway.

On this (Dave's) computer it is not hidden. On mine, it is.

I don't hide the taskbar, but I do prefer it docked at the top of the screen rather than the bottom. I know that MS put the taskbar at the bottom in a lame attempt to differentiate itself from Mac, but considering that all of the menus in every program are at the top, the top of the screen is the natural place for me to head the mouse when I want to do anything. It just makes more sense to me for it to be up there near the menus in whatever program I'm using.

Just to clarify. I hide the taskbar only while I'm at work, so the fuckers can't see that chat and surf the net all day. At home, I freeball it.
