Happy birthday to sze and to helenseidolon!  Hope you both have a fantastic birthday!  Nothing like a Friday birthday.  Also, happy early birthday to oxymoronnyc, since I probably won't be around tomorrow!

In honor of your birthdays, I'm doing something unprecedented to celebrate. I never have sweets or soda, and by never I mean I might have a soda or a chocolate bar a few times a year(except halloween and easter).  Well, this morning I am having a See's milk chocolate bar (a coworker was selling them for her daughter's fundraiser this morning) and a Dr Pepper (from a catered lunch we had yesterday). Sugar rush shall ensue post haste.  I haven't smoked or drank in a week and a half or so, so a little Friday morning craziness is in order. Sugar party!

Speaking of, not smoking isn't as suck as I thought it would be, especially since I haven't been drinking.  I've been airing the house out and last night I was burning some candles and it smells good in there.  I think smoking outside is going to become a permanent rule in the house again. I hate smelling like smoke. Especially in winter when all the windows are up most of the time, I like having that warm, inviting, cooking and candle smell and not a skank, stale smoke smell.

Also, some important info for my NYC peeps:

The band I saw when I went to Philly that I really liked, Snoozebox (actually I was listening to their CD last night) is playing tonight in NYC

Thank you, and there is no compliment higher than eating chocolate in my honour.

Not only is it Friday, it's a long weekend up here! I was actually born the Friday before the long weekend, mostly because my mom's doc wanted to induce her before going away for Thanksgiving. I find that entertaining.

That rules. Well I hope your birthday falls on the Friday often. ;-)

I usually don't have much of a problem running or cycling and smoking. But with a long run like the half marathon I need a little extra lung power to get me through it. ;-)

I never smoked in any of my houses up until about three years ago. I don't know why I started. We were having a party and I just started smoking inside and after that we smoked inside all the time. Weird.

Yay for not smoking and not stinking. Just think, if you quit, you could smell like CLEAN LAUNDRY all the time!

Mmm, my favorite smell ever.

Well, not ever, but still.

Well, I didn't really quit, it's just temporary because I have to run a half marathon in a week. ;-)

Ah. Do you think you might try quitting for real?

It's doubtful, but I plan on cutting down quite a bit. Maybe to a couple packs a month or so.

That's good. I'm so thankful I never took up smoking full-time. I smoke very ocassionally if I'm drunk & I feel like it.I just know I would've been one of those 2-pack-a-day people if I'd gotten hooked.

Is this sort of like the whole "not gonna smoke in the house" thing? Or are you going to cut down for real? I'd rather you smelled like clean laundry and booze than smoke. Thanks.

If I'm drinkin', I'm stinkin'.
