I want to take a trip. I started planning a trip to Seattle for Thanksgiving but Shan decided she didn't want to go. I still have the bug to travel though, so I'm trying to think of places I could go. I still might do Seattle although there are things I want to do there with Shan so I might hold off on there. I was also thinking about maybe DC or Vancouver. I'm scouring Travelocity and other places for their last minute deals and junk. Anyone have any ideas of fun places to go for a weekend or a few days?

Not a week goes by that I don't wish I could go back to Chicago.

I had fun in Victoria, BC for a long weekend in the fall of 04. Lovely place. Lots to see and do. We took a ferry from Seattle up and back.

Yeah Victoria is definitely going to be a part of the Seattle trip. I love it there.

You know you have party friends and a place to crash anytime you find deals to your hometown.

Seattle can be very gray and rainy over Thanksgiving. July through early September are usually awesome though. If you do end up postponing your Seattle trip, those months might be a better time to go.

If/when you get up this way, it would be fun to meet up for drinks or something.

Yeah I lived in Tacoma for four years. It's gray and rainy all the time. :P I don't mind though, that's how Seattle is SUPPOSED to be.

Santa Barbara is great! They have these places here that you sit at a stool and they serve you alcohl for money! Can you beat that?

I guess any time of the year can be nice for DC, but I prefer the spring, there.

Where was that place in Mexico you guys went? Would you ever go back there?

How about the other Mexico, the New one. I would like to visit there again, it seemed pretty neat when I drove through it. Have you spent much time there?

If it weren't for that stupid first paragraph. I could have ended every one with the word there. That would have been keen.

NYC, Miami, New Orleans... ;)

NYC doesn't interest me too much, I am too fat for Miami. Is NO ready for tourism yet?
