I have something called essential tremors which is related to, but intrinsically different from, Parkinson's. Essential tremors are not "resting tremors", meaning that I don't have them when I stay still, but more often when I try to hold a postion that causes any type of muscle strain(I posted about this recently). Anyway, that has nothing to do with this video except how I can empathize with him on some level. I agree with the quoted statement that no one is above criticism, but you know that's not the case here. I think Michael J Fox has gone beyond brave and into the realm of hero here.

What I don't really understand is this: even if Fox intentionally went off medications before testimony and filming commercials, so what? There's something wrong with making clear the disease he is fighting?

He is very well spoken on the subject, but when it comes to various debates I wish everybody (on both sides of any issue) would take to heart the last minute of that video.

I so agree, you have to respect both sides of the fench. Fox seems like a brilliant man to come to the conclusion of respect and how things should work. Great video, I had heard about it and had not seen it till now. Ive taken care of people with parkensons for almost 9 1/2 years and from what ive seen its a hard disease to have. LIke he said medication can only do so much.
Thanks for video
