  • On Friday I was scheduling a study for a physician who knows my political stance. He was on speakerphone with the patient there and jokingly asked, "Is it ok that the patient is a republican?" To which I replied, "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't see republicans here!"

This morning I came in and realized I hadn't ordered the patient's doses, so I got the pharmacy to rush them up. Still, they arrived about 45 minutes later than the patient was scheduled. I explained it to him and apologized and he wasn't upset or anything. When we finished the study I apologized again for delaying the study and the patient said, "It's no problem, really. And besides," he says, with a huge grin on his face, "I expected something like this from a democrat anyway." :)

  • Why is it that you often hear stories about happy, nice twins but never hear about evil twins(besides G.I. Joe)?

  • Last week we read Amazing Grace, by Jonathan Kozol for school. It's about people living in the South Bronx ghettos. It's heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time, not to mention very revealing. Highly recommended.

Well, not evil twins, but far from a happy story forDavid Reimer and his twin.

Oh yeah...hi, I've been away for a long time, hi.
