We haven't had cable in years but I had such a strong urge to lay on the couch all day today, eating cereal out of a ginormous bowl and watching Saturday morning cartoons. Do they even have Saturday morning cartoons anymore? I bet they aren't good ones.

I had a blast last night! The chat party was a huge success again and people came out of the woodwork from all over the place.

Today I am going to attempt to make Cornish pasties. We still have some root vegetables from the CSA box and I picked up some lamb last night that I will mince in the food processor. I don't think lamb is even a traditional pasty ingredient but it sounded good to me. If you live in a twenty mile radius from me expect to hear a cry of anguish the likes of which even God has never heard as I completely fuck up the pastry-making bit. A baker I am not. I suppose if I screw it up really bad I can always make it into a pot pie.

Oh yeah, when I got out of bed this morning, I almost fell on my face because my calves hurt SO bad! I don't know if it was from the elliptical or doing some exercises on a bosu ball (neither of which I ever use) but man, I haven't had muscle soreness like that in ages.

The only good cartoons on Saturday mornings are Spongebob and The Penguins of Madagascar (and possible Fanboy and Chum Chum). And they're not on broadcast TV.

Trust me, I'm an expert by proxy on Saturday morning cartoons. :-/

Saturday morning cartoons have pretty much died. No point, since there are five or so different networks now that show cartoons 24/7. The major networks don't want to bother competing with that.
