Camping Goodness

I'm totally on the camping excitement trip...Monday, May 27th is Memorial Day. I have it off as I'm sure some of you guys do.

Is anyone interested in a big campout at Big Sur? Damn, never mind. Too late for reservations.

There's a park called Limekiln sp that is nearby that looks pretty cool. Anyway, I'm going to look around tonight and see what's available down there for that weekend. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

That's the tiniest bit too far. So sorry. ;-)

No suggestions, but I'll have to pass regardless. One thing I learned a long time ago is that if it is a campground you can drive to, I don't want to be there on a major three-day weekend.

Keep mentioning any other opportunities, though.

Actually, Limekiln is one of the furthest south campgrounds along big sur (it's near Lucia). Julia Pfeiffer, and Andrew Molera are more likely to be crowded that weekend. I could be wrong :). The state parks page shows what looks to be a waterfall there. Plus, it's along the coast. I'll keep you updated, Demo (i think school may be over for me by then, i'm not sure).

I could certainly be wrong but in my experience all automobile accessible campgrounds are full on the following three weekends:

1) Memorial Day
2) 4th of July
3) Labor Day

If you have to hike to the campground it will still be crowded, but it hiking sucks if you have to carry a keg so the people around you aren't as rowdy.

Just to be clear, though, I am not trying to discourage anybody else. It just isn't my thing.

I'm a tard i think :). I misread Demo's statement. Unless there are two parks called Limekiln, i dont know WHAT the fuck i'm saying. :)
