Friday. I love you! I still haven't checked my lottery ticket, so I may be here unnecesarily, but that's ok, since it's friday and I have an easy day. Yesterday was fun. Came home and started working on my 40, then I decided to work out for a little while, back to the 40, installed XP service pack 1, computer died...wait. That's not fun! FUCK! MICROSOFT, EAT SHIT AND DIE FUCKERS!

Why the hell do you want to release something that kills computers? More importantly, why would someone install something when their computer was working pefectly fine? I am a friggin idiot, I swear. I always have to have the latest updates and patches, even if nothing's wrong. Well this is it, final lesson for me. Vince: If it's not broke, don't fix it! I lost a significant portion of my MP3 library not to mention a ton of images that weren't backed up. I have everything backed up through June of this year though, so that's good. Still, that's about three months worth of stuff, including my HOMEWORK! Arrgh. Oh well, tommorow I'll be drinking it up with the BADs and I won't give a fuck. The one irritating thing is that I reinstalled XP last night, but now when I boot, it gives me the option to boot into both the new installation and the old installation of XP, which is fully corrupted. WTF? So, I'm going to need to fdisk the master boot record and format the whole thing before I reinstall it AGAIN tonight. Fuck. Hopefully that just means that XP is designed to respect other things in the MBR unlike previous versions of winders that overwrote everything there (if you wanted to have a dual-boot windows-linux machine, the only safe way was to install windows THEN linux or else windows would overwrite the linux bootloader sometimes.) Anyway, that's geeky shit that you don't care about. Oh yeah, I also found out my CD/R-W drive doesn't boot. I have no idea why. Oh well, I'll have it all back up and running tonight. And I'll be drinking my other 40s. That's the important part. ;-)

NOW you do. Too bad it took the Mac people 20 years to come up with an OS that could even come close to comparing with Windows. Oh yeah, and they had to borrow that from Unix.

Yeah, it took 20 years for the Mac people to realize the best way to come up with ideas was to "borrow" them. Microsoft sure knew that. ;-)

"Twenty years to come up with an OS that could compare with Windows"? Like, Jobs and Woz were sitting around in 1982 going, "How can we compete with Windows XP?"?

Hell, back then you PC people were using edlin and LOVING it.
