For those people who don't monitor news, new LJ posting limits have been implemented. The limits are:

Free users: 3 posts per 24 hour period.
Early adopters: 10 posts per 24 hour period.
Paid Users: 20 posts per 24 hour period.

Comments don't count.

Edited to add: LOL, ok, now Brad just turned it off again. Details are here. He said he'll turn it back on again in a few days.

For real, if they don't like it they can piss off.

I saw in that post there was something like 660 comments with a lot of people bitching. Do they think it doesn't cost to have a site like this?

no kidding. have you seen the graph that shows how few paid accounts are actually held? it's ridiculous. if i had my way i'd kick all free users to the curb. i have 5 websites and it costs WAY more to host them than it costs to purchase a 1 yr lj membership and some people use lj as their "website". personally i think lj should have more perks and charge more.

I agree completely. The people who were saying, "You should give free users more stuff so they'll want to pay!" makes no sense at all. If you give them more features for free, why the hell would they want to pay? People who want something for nothing annoy me. This site costs money to run, but other people should be paying for you? Piss off.
