Oh man.  The universe is right once more.  My woman is home. Allahu Ackbar.

I am tired beyond tired.  I could not sleep at all last night. I don't know if I was just amped up because Shan was home or what, but I just couldn't go to bed.  I almost finished my book though (Adrian Mole), so there's that. I think I got in an hour or two from about 4-6, so I'm not completely sleep deprived, but I still feel like I'm going to need to prop my eyelids open with toothpicks.

That said, I AM NOT pussying out on my promise to myself to get back on track. The Ukiah Triathlon is in three weeks and we have two full weekends of debauchery in between, so I really need to hammer on in the time that I have.  I need to run, ride or swim every weekday at least for the next couple weeks.  Especially swim.  I have swam all of two or three times this year, and those were relaxed swims in the Russian River. I also need to look for some tri shorts so I don't have to change in the transitions.

Allahu Ackbar indeed.

You know, all this triathlon talk has been getting to thinking of maybe training for something like that. It looks like the LA Triathlon happens every September, so maybe I can participate for next year if I start now!

Well, the one I'm doing is a sprint triathlon, not a real triathlon, so even a beginner can easily finish it. I don't know if I could ever do a full triathlon, but I think I'm going to do a half next year (Half Vineman) depending on how my half marathon goes this year. I really want to focus more on cycling, but I've been wanting to do that Vineman forever.

See, just keep running fro that icon, until you're 5K away. Or you develop leg muscles that look just like his. ;-)

Ok, let me get this straight. You wife comes home from a long trip and you spend the evening reading?
