Motherfuck!  I was just going to buy some season tickets to the symphony and the prices are INSANE!  For the cheapest, crappiest, not even worth going seats it's like $50/show.  Fuck that noise. I guess I'll try to check out the free concerts and reduced price shows. I haven't been to the symphony in a million years and now I know why. The Santa Rosa symphony does some free concerts at the college every now and then and they have a few reduced price shows at different venues, so I'm going to try to start hitting those up.

I ran 4 miles@11min/mi yesterday. My legs were super tired from swimming.  I always thought nothing could really work my legs much more because they have always been the strongest part of my body and I ride my bike a lot but man swimming really does take it out of you. I've only gone a couple times so far but I can already feel the changes in my body from swimming.

We've been watching Dead Like Me on Netflix.  Someone on my FL mentioned it a while ago and it sounded interesting.  I LOVE it!  Everyone in the show is great and the concept is so cool too.  If you're not familiar with it, it's basically about a girl who dies and becomes a grim reaper and her grim reaper companions.  It's really fun, you should check it out.

I am so ready for this weekend.  I think I'm going to go on a long ride tomorrow, but I'm not sure where yet.  I want to try a new route. Maybe I'll ride to Sonoma.

  1. What size of shoe do you wear? 12 or 13. You know what they say about guys with big feet. ("Big ass!")

  2. Did you have a nickname as a child? One summer I had the nickname "wolf" and some people in high school called me "spit".

  3. What did you want to be when you thought about growing up? I wanted to be an astronaut or a scientist(or both) and later scientist=physicist.

  4. Soap or Bubble Bath in the tub ? Shaving cream.  The only time I get in the bath is to shave my legs, and I usually do that in the shower.

  5. What are you having for breakfast today? I had some metamucil, but I forgot to eat breakfast. Oh, speaking of breakfast, last time I went to CostCo I got a pack of Eggbeaters-like stuff. It comes in 6 or 8 small cartons, each carton is the equivalent of 6 eggs, I believe. It's really great, they have no cholesterol, so they're basically all protein. They taste just like normal scrambled eggs and they're super convenient. Just shake the carton and pour into the pan. It makes breakfast really easy(and healthy) for people who are trying to eat low carb.

Which symphony? The SF Symphony costs about $30 a show for the cheapest seats (assuming you're not a student). Of course, those are pretty far away, so you might not see much. But then, you don't generally go to the Symphony to see the show.

No, I was looking at the SF symphony too and they are about 50/show.

For season tickets or just one-time? Their catalog lists 6-show seasons at $180 for second-tier seats. That would be $30 a show.

Ah, never mind. Sorry, I don't know what I was thinking.

You were thinking:

"I don't really want to go to the symphony as I'd be bored off my ass. But I'm tired of people thinking I lack culture and refinement; that it is all about the beer, the WoW, and the shit jokes. So let's see if I can get the best of both worlds by claiming that I would go to the symphony if it weren't so damned expensive. Yeah, that's the ticket."

Well played, sir, well played.

That fucker sucks. I'm going to go say mean things about him in one of the anonymous communities.

I just talk about him in my own livejournal entries. I can just imagine him crying at home!

I love Dead Like Me. Mark and I really got into it while it was on...it was our standard Sunday night ritual.

In what style do you swim? I was going to ask if you swim "freestyle", but that implies you're free to pick a style of swimming, so it's not very specific. But, what I'm asking is, do you swim in the way where your arms go up over your head and you kick your feet? Not breast stroke, back stroke or butterfly? The normal way! YOU KNOW?

Jesus, this question got much more complicated than I was prepared for.

Mainly I swim freestyle(yes, that is the name for that style of swimming), but I also swim breaststroke, backstroke, just arms(pulling) and just legs, etc...

No butterfly though, fuck that shit.

I hate butterfly too. Not only does it suck, it builds really unattractive shoulders on a woman.

"She has MAN shoulders!"
