Heh, someone finally got XP to run on an intel mac.  Unfortunately the site seems to have been slashdotted.  Here's the link just in case it comes back up.

This next part is really pathetic. Like I said before, I am doing the couch to 10k running program and yesterday was the first time I actually had to do a "substantial" distance.  I ran 2 miles with a 10 min pace.  That's sad coming from someone who's done a half marathon, sprint triathlon, multiple century rides, etc.  But goddamit it made me feel good about myself!  I really wanna keep up running.  The more I do it, the more I enjoy it and it really keeps me in better shape than cycling.  When I was running 5 miles a few times a week I was more fit than when I was riding 35 miles 4-5 times a week plus usually a 50-80 mile ride on the weekend. And it's faster, too. I like doing "endurance" rides, and road trips, but as a daily workout road cycling is fucking BORING. I think I'm only going to ride my road bike from now on when we have a "destination" ride.  Other than that I'll still ride my fixie(to the bar, lol) and my mountain bike. And if I can run 5 or so miles a few times a week I should be good.  I hope I don't lose my sweet legs.  :P

Woo, I have tomorrow off for St Paddy's.  I will have many, many Guinness!

Yeah, I miss running. Viv hates to run because (I think) she concentrates too much on the discomfort, which only intensifies it. I learned long ago while training for 10K races to let my mind wander so it's like I'm astral projecting or something when I run. I think 10 minute miles are the perfect pace when you're starting up again. I'm only mentioning this to totally brag, but one time in AIT I actually ran a mile in 4:28. I never came close to that again, but it was, sadly, one of my proudest achievements.

4:28?! Holy shit, that's amazing! I think my best mile time was about 6:30. ;)

Dude, that's like, 15 seconds faster than me... when i was in 7th grade!

As for XP on an Intel Mac, WTF? "Hey, look at me! I just spent three times as much as you for a machine that does the exact same thing! Ain't i cool?" Let me know when someone gets OS/X running on a Dell or something.

Well the point is to have it dual-boot, so idiots who buy Macs can play PC games, etc.

There's so much nerdliness in that first sentence that it takes away from the smooth criminality of the running.

For shame.
