Lazy holiday. Wednesday was the most productive day, when I went with some friends to SF to go on the Anchor Steam Brewery tour(pictures here, but there's none of me). The highlight of the tour was a half hour introduction by owner Fritz Maytag about the brewery. Apparently they had sent all the regular tour people home for the holidays! The group I went with is a group of ten guys, some of them have been going on this tour annually for 20 years, and they have never seen Fritz do this. Anyway, the rest of the tour was given by the chief marketing guy and it was really interesting. Sounds like it would be so cool to work for Anchor Steam. We spent most of the day/evening in the city and, when we weren't on the tour, we were at various pubs all over the city. Needless to say, it was a fun day.

Thursday we sat around drinking and made a mini Thanksgiving dinner together. After that we got completely hammered and stayed up til 4 or 5 in the morning. Friday was a recovery day and I slept until 3 or 4 pm, wow. When I got up we watched Heroes most of the day and hit the sack early. Yesterday was a lazy movie-watching day(at home). Let's see, I watched Withnail and I, which I just found out about on Metafilter. It was pretty good, but I think it would be better if I had been "indoctrinated" into it by some guy friends. Not to mention I got so "arseholed" two nights before that I was still a bit off on the whole alcohol thing. Then I watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which I love but I always end up just fast forwarding to the beautiful fight scenes. :) Then I watched Legend of Drunken Master, which is an awesome karate flick with Jackie Chan. Then it was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire(shut up Harry haters) and finally Munich, which was good, but...eh I don't know. I wasn't in the mood for questioning my morality and this movie definitely does that big time.

Today we finally got out of the house and ran some errands. I got a piece of wood to repair our neighbor's flower box, because I ran over it while backing in to my parking spot, LOL. Then, let's see...ah to Longs for toiletries(exciting!), then to the brewing store, which was closed(weep) and finally to the market to pick up some crabs and prawns for dinner tonight and other sundry items(Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is out, yeehaw!). Woo, crab season, cheap crabs! I don't know what's on the agenda for the rest of the night, but it will probably consist of me Stumbling across the internet and being bored and mildly intoxicated. I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow because I want to see the next Heroes. Finally a reason to live on Mondays.
