Since the robbery when all my computers were stolen I've been wanting to mess around with Linux some more, not to mention getting a server back up for stuff like a shell account, teamspeak server, etc. Well after doing a bunch of upgrades over the last 6 months or so I've wound up with almost a full computer setup in parts. Yesterday I went and got a new case and a couple other pieces I was missing to build a new machine and I put it together yesterday. Honestly, it's a pretty damn nice machine for a "mess around computer" so I'm pretty stoked out about it. Anyway, I've been looking for interesting distros for a while and I found Sabayon linux. It's based off of Gentoo, which is a really nice system but is more for advanced users. This distro automates the installation though and sets you up with tons of great packages, plus it uses Beryl as a window manager, which I've been wanting to try for a long time. It also has built in support for high end ATI and nVidia cards, which I wanted. It just finished installing, I think it's going to be pretty badass.
