Man, I pulled something in my shoulder when I was stretching this morning before going on a run. I seriously hate stretching and this just adds fuel to that fire. I thought you were supposed to stretch to avoid injury... I'm also super sore from working out a couplde days ago. And, to add insult to injury, my whole face is peeling like I'm molting or something, for no apparent reason(maybe leprosy). I guess I should expect to be a little gimped out after not doing any exercise for months and months, but jeez.

Luckily, this weekend is St Pat's, so I will be heavily "medicated" all weekend. Thanks be to Allah, the beneficient, the merciful.

ETA: Oh damn, now my knee is all wacked. Jesus, I am pathetic! Still, won't stop me from drinking, this I vow.

I think it's preferred that you warm up first before doing any stretches. It's old age, I tell ya. Think of your muscles as old rubber bands that are starting to crack and get gummy from old age. lol

When I worked out with Team in Training, they would have us walk at least a mile before stretching (about 15-20 minutes of walking). You want your muscles to be warm, before you stretch.

I'm sorry about your shoulder, though. That sucks. Put some ice on it today.

Also, I didn't know Allah was Irish. ;)

Yep. What they said. Warm up first. Then stretch.

I'm totally sore, too. I was so lazy this winter. Dammit, I feel old.
