I took a four day weekend so I've been trying to catch up with LJ all day today. Mostly drank and played WoW, story of my life. Easter was nice, Shan made a great meal and we had a bunch of kids over to eat and hang out. I think I'm going to try to make a conscious effort to cut down on WoW, because it's also related to a lot of my other bad habits like sloth, power-smoking, fast/junk food eating and bulk drinking. It's pretty bad. I'll go home and drink a 12 pack and smoke a pack of cigarettes while I'm playing and then it's midnight(also known as Make a Run for the Border Time) and I haven't done squat. I have kept to my no fast food rule for this month so far, though I almost broke it last night when I wanted a Kit Kat Blizzard so bad I almost died. Luckily we had ghetto nacho fixin's so the beast was appeased. I'm also having a hard time getting into this working out crap. What a pain. Why can't I just lie around all day and be fit? Spin class tonight. Luckily Yosemite is looming in my future or I swear I wouldn't try to exercise at all. The thought of being utterly pathetic in front of friends while hiking keeps me in check.

The way I see it (not that you asked, but anyway), you're a lot better off than some people that have simply grown with bad habits. You actually know what it's like to be physically fit, and how enjoyable an active hobby can be, and how cool it is to see your time improve/clothes fit/etc.

Sure, you're treating your body like shit and have some goals to reach, but you already know how fucking awesome it's going to feel when you do.

I eat like a pig (and often drink like a fish) in the evenings. This is why I'm not gaining weight: I make up for it by eating a banana in the mornings (potassium helps a man beat a hangover) and have a salad (garlic wine vinegar for dressing) and a cup of yogurt for lunch. If I get hungry in the afternoon, I have another banana or another cup of yogurt. Give it a try. If it works for you, too, you can help me name the diet and we'll put out a book.

You also have a job that involves actual physical labor, lol. I actually have been eating pretty good lately, especially for breakfast and lunch.

Maybe you're drinking the wrong beer. Look into that. If that's not the problem...I'm out of ideas.

Nah, it's just that about a year of continued sloth destroyed my metabolism and now I have to work to fix it.

I did not - I don't check it all that often because hardly anyone posts anymore. :( I may end up leaving TDH also...
