I've been using Netflix's new on-demand feature to watch some movies recently. They don't have much on there yet, only about 2,000 movies. So, I've been watching a bunch of old movies that I like, but wouldn't order since I've seen them a billion times. Things like Ice Pirates(lol), Westworld, A Clockwork Orange and a few others. The quality is pretty good and the movie starts streaming right away. I have experienced a few choppy parts or buffer slowdowns, but overall it's been fine. It's certainly the wave of the future. Once our "pipes" are bigger and they can stream HD movies there really won't be a need to order discs anymore at all. I do think buying "rights" to media or to a pool of media is the way to go, since then you rarely need to store local copies of that media, which will cut down on pirating in the long run. Anyway, I'm going off on a tangent, but what I meant to say is that Netflix's streaming movie service is GOOD. ;)

We're going hiking at Armstrong Redwoods SR this weekend with our new buddies. Should be nice. We've camped there before but never really hiked there. And we can use all the hiking we can get before Yosemite comes. I have to say I am in pretty pathetic shape. Oh well, at least I'm happy.

Speaking of happy, I've been on a cooking boom this last week. I've made italian sausage sandwiches, cheese steak sandwiches, tacos al pastor, grilled sausages, grilled chicken adobada, jerk chicken wings, ribs(that turned out disgusting), macaroni salad and some other stuff I am forgetting. I love grilling when the weather is nice.

Woot, Friday!
